We designed our lawn fertilization program specifically for the greater south western New Hampshire and Vermont. Our comprehensive six step lawn fertilization program consist of four properly timed premium slow release granular fertilization treatments.  Pre-emergent crabgrass control is included and is applied in the spring because the best defense against crabgrass is to stop it from sprouting.  Broad leaf weed control is included and is applied in liquid form to help clear out unsightly weeds like dandelions, clover and ground ivy.  Grub preventative treatment is applied in the early summer to protect your lawn from these sub surface invaders.  Pelletized lime treatment is typically applied in the fall but can be done basically anytime through out the growing season to help maintain a proper lawn soil pH value. Surface insects are included as needed.

We can bring new life to your lawn...

CORE AERATION: This important process uses hollow tines to remove core plugs up to a depth of three inches that are a combination of thatch, grass and topsoil from the base of the lawn and deposits them on top of the turf. The many benefits of core aeration as shown below helps to relief soil compaction while improving better absorption of water, oxygen and nutrients. In addition core aeration aids in root stimulation creating a deeper root system.  We typically perform this service in the fall but it is possible to aerate in the spring under the right circumstances.

OVER SEEDING: Combined with core aeration, over seeding is a great way to help thicken up your existing lawn in the fall. Upon completion of core aeration we broadcast our proven premium select grass seed blend over the entire lawn.  For best results watering the lawn after seeding is completed is recommended.

ORGANIC PELLETIZED SOIL CONDITIONER: For several years we had tried to find a spreadable pelletized soil conditioner product that we could apply to lawns that would give the benefits of bulk compost topdressing but without all the work to no avail.  Recently we have found that product and are pleased to offer it in our additional specialized lawn care services.  Like most organic products sold on the market today our organic pelletized soil conditioner is not without the expense.  However once you get past the price sting the many benefits of adding this powerful biological amendment to your lawn are numerous.  Made from all organic ingredients and contains no animal manures.  It is a homogeneous and synergistic blend of advanced composts rich in organic matter, biologically available carbon sources, nutrient complexing agents and one of natures most powerful substances, soluble humate, which is a biologically active source of humic & fulvic acids.  Once applied all these organic ingredients begin to go to work to help sustain your lawns health by stimulating the soil, feeding the soil microbes, increasing the soil organic matter and increasing the soil nutrient capacity.

YELLOW NUTSEDGE CONTROL: Ever wonder what those fast growing lime green colored grass patches taking over your lawn is.  Well its not grass at all.  Its called yellow nutsedge and its actually a sedge plant.  Most commonly found in marshes or open field areas has now adapted itself to your lawn and is extremely difficult to manage without a specialized herbicide product and a management plan in place.  We can help control this nuisance weed with a customized treatment plan.

SECOND PRE-EMERGENT CRABGRASS TREATMENT: For superior longer lasting protection against crabgrass we can apply an additional pre-emergent crabgrass treatment in late spring.

The Many Benefits Of Lawn Aeration

Your lawn can't breathe.  We can help by core aerating.

The Grub

You may have uninvited guests in your lawn and not even know it. When left untreated these uninvited guests known as white grubs can severely destroy a lawn in a short amount of time. White grubs are found below the thatch layer in the soil and feed on your lawns grass roots. These turf destroying insects are the larvae of several bothersome beetles known in are area as the Japanese Beetle, European Chafer and the Oriental Beetle. To protect your lawn from these sub surface intruders, we apply a special grub preventative in the summer to give them the boot.
